I recently started a personal portrait project with the help of Amy Volume, Eric Bollman and Andy Leung. The project was to photograph radio DJs in their own environment, and perhaps get a little snapshot into their lives to see the person behind the voice we hear on the radio. I had this opportunity recently with Jen Traplin. I listen to Jen on the radio all the time as I do listen to Live 88.5. I am now more eco friendly cause of her infomercials about the environment! hahaha. Anyhow, she became my first participant when I promised that the photo shoot was not going to be focused on posing and more on whatever you want style. I had some ideas going into her place, and we tried a few shots with those ideas but I quickly realized Jen loves her dogs. So, the whole shoot quickly shifted to Jen and her dogs.
