Noel works for Live 885. She is a radio dj that I photographed recently for my personal portrait project to photograph radio DJs in their own environment, and perhaps get a little snapshot into their lives to see the person behind the voice we hear on the radio. To be honest, I don't really know where this project is going. I guess just shooting for fun is well...fun, so who cares. We exchanged emails a couple times and found out Noel really likes clothing alterations, and alters a lot of her own clothing such as the jacket she is wearing and this shirt that she is working on. I figured I would just have her work on something as I snapped away because I didn't want any model/fashion posing images. We decided on the grafitti mural on slater street because she told me she had always wanted to take photos there, and I have never done so myself. In the end I made Noel sit down on a lot of gross dirty places, luckily she didn't mind. Thanks Noel, and thanks Heidi for helping out!
